Carleton Place Subdivision (Abandoned)-Canadian Pacific

Here we see a few pictures of the abandoned former Canadian Pacific sub which branched off of the also now abandoned Chalk River Sub (also Canadian Pacific) at Coleman Street in Carleton Place, Ontario. This sub headed to Ottawa. It is now a recreational trail enjoyed by many outdoor enthusiasts. The trail extends to Bells Corners, where approximately a kilometre of rail still lays. These pictures were taken where it passes under Highway 7 near Alaska Wood Products on the outskirts of Carleton Place.
